Acts 10: 1-23, 25-26

“What God has made clean, do not call common.”

In this passage we see the Holy Spirit come to Peter in a vision. Note that this vision is brought on through fasting, in the middle of the day. Peter isn’t just dreaming through sleep. Can you imagine being so hungry that God literally speaks to you?

Peter is called to reach all people, sinners and believers alike. What an ego boost. Through this weeks discussion, a question formed. “Is that empathy or my own vanity?”

Many of us have gone on mission trips before. Peter was just called for the greatest mission of his life! It feels good to do good. Sometimes we may seek to do “good” when in fact we are just seeking to stoke our own ego.

Is it possible for what “God has made clean” to then be tainted?

We leave that question to you:)

By iron, through iron, to iron. Laudate!

God Bless,
